We
updated Eve's 1956 Met with a more powerful engine, an automatic
transmission (adding a lighted gear indicator on the dash) and
disc brakes. We installed air conditioning, including an improved
air-cool design radiator. Per Eve’s desires, the flat hood
was replaced with a 1954 hood scoop version and the mesh grille
was replaced with the 1954 propeller style. She also wanted vent
windows (that ’56 Mets didn’t have) so the side window
glass and mechanisms were altered to accept vent window units.
A shaded windshield was installed.
